Register the paternity acknowledgment
If, at the time of the child’s birth, the parents are not married, the person recognizing himself as the child’s father must apply for paternity state registration.
For paternity state registration in a foreign country, it is necessary to apply to the consular office of that country.
If necessary, it is also possible to obtain an online duplicate of the paternity recognition certificate (including duplicates of paper certificates issued before 2021).
How to apply?
To register paternity recognition online, after clicking the “Continue” button, you need to:
- complete identification through the "YesEm" national system for identification (to view the English version, use the browser's translation tool),
- fill in the personal data of the applicant (the application must be submitted by the mother),
- follow the instructions for the next steps,
- review the applicant’s data, submit and sign the application,
- notify the child’s father via email,
- submit the application once both the father’s and mother’s signatures are provided.
Requirements
To use the online service for paternity recognition registration, it is required to have "YesEm" digital identification (to view the English version, use the browser's translation tool).
Required information
For online paternity registration, the following information is required:

the applicant’s (the application must be submitted by the mother) identity document number, phone number, and email address,
- the father’s first name, last name, father's name, and public services number (social card number).
Payment amount and procedure
A state fee of 10,000 AMD must be paid for paternity recognition.
Delivery period and procedure
- The application for paternity recognition is approved on the same working day.
- The paternity recognition certificate and the child’s new birth certificate are sent to the applicant’s email address.
Attention:
- After registering paternity recognition, the relevant changes are made in the child’s birth certificate.
- The new birth certificate is sent to the applicant’s email address.
