Requirements 

When submitting the application, you must meet the requirements for environmental impact assessment (EIA) in order to receive a positive conclusion.

Required documents

To obtain a permission ofr geological research, you must submit the following documents:

• an application (both in paper and electronic form),
• the applicant’s state registration number,
• the required timeframe for carrying out the work,
• information about financial and technical capacities and resources,
• an extract containing information about the real beneficiaries, issued no earlier than 5 days before submitting the application.

You must also attach a geological research program, which should include:

• the purpose and timeframe of the planned work,
• Analysis of previous geological studies conducted in the same subsoil area,
• proposed methods, technques, tools, and approximate scope of work,
• a description of the subsoil area (as of the last 6 months) and a site plan with boundary coordinates certified by a qualified specialist,
• an updated extract (reference) on real beneficiaries if there are any changes before the decision is issued,
• necessary mapping materials,
• a positive conclusion of the environmental impact assessment (conducted by the Ministry),
• proof of payment of the state fee.

Delivery period and procedure

After the application is submitted, the Ministry sends it for Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) within 10 days.

The EIA conclusion is issued within 40–80 working days. If the conclusion is positive, the Ministry gives its approval within 20 days and invites the applicant to sign the geological research contract within 10 days.

Payment amount and procedure

To obtain the geological exploration permit, a fee of 50,000 AMD must be paid. The payment can be made online or via bank transfer to state bank account number 900005167136.
