Receive Support for Purchasing a Bicycle
To promote a healthy lifestyle in the Republic of Armenia, the Government of Armenia has initiated a program under which students and employees of higher education institutions and secondary vocational education institutions will receive support for purchasing a bicycle during 2025–2027.
Specifically, if a citizen receives a loan of up to 300,000 AMD, the state will subsidize the interest on the loan up to 16%.
About the Program
Within the framework of the support program, the government helps students and lecturers acquire bicycles through banking and credit organizations under annual subsidy terms.
To receive financial support, it is necessary to apply to one of the licensed banks operating in the Republic of Armenia.
The goals of the program are:
- To encourage a healthy lifestyle.
- To reduce urban traffic congestion.
- To develop a culture of alternative transportation.
Requirements
The following individuals may apply:
- Students of state and private Higher Education Institutions.
- Lecturers and employees.
- Employees of secondary vocational and craft educational institutions.
Attention
- Each beneficiary may utilize the support program only once.
- The program is valid from September 1, 2025, until December 31, 2027, inclusive.
Required Documents
- Passport or ID Card.
- A document verifying student/employee status (student ID card, reference, or reference from the place of employment).
- Other documents required by the bank, the list of which will be published in May.
Scope of Support
- Compensation for the interest rate on a loan up to 300,000 AMD (Armenian Dram), up to 16%.
- Repayment period: up to 36 months.
- No commission fees.
Delivery period and Procedure
Details regarding the provision are communicated by the bank when carrying out the loan transaction. The procedure usually takes one business day.
