Apply for labor pension
Labor pension is provided by the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs of Armenia based on the citizen's work experience. The longer the work experience, the higher the labor pension amount.
To apply for an old-age pension, you must visit the territorial center of the Unified Social Service and submit the required documents.
Requirements
Citizens aged 63 years and holding at least 10 years of work experience can apply for labor pension.
Required documents
To apply for labor pension, you need to submit the original versions of the following documents:
- ID card or passport,
- Social security card (not required if you have an ID card) or a certificate stating that you have not received one,
- employment record book, or, if necessary, other documents or archival certificates confirming your work experience,
- a certificate confirming payment of social contributions, issued by the tax service department, or a certificate from the employer indicating the amount of salary by years and months,
- diploma from a higher education institution (only full-time education is considered),
- children's birth certificates or an official extract confirming the birth,
- military service record book (for men),
- a 3x4 size photo.
The application form is filled out at place.
Payment amount and procedure
Applying for labor pension is free of charge.
Delivery period and procedure
- The application is reviewed by a social service employee. Within 10 working days, the applicant is notified whether the pension has been approved or denied.
- Other than the denial, the applicant may be asked to provide additional documents. After submitting the required documents within 3 months, the pension-granting department reviews them within 10 working days and makes a decision to grant or deny the pension.
- If the pension is provided through a non-cash method, first-time recipients are notified via SMS.
