If cancer is detected in the applicant, their 35–75 year old relatives (biological parents, children, siblings) who are served by the same institutions may also be examined.

Required Documents

To become a beneficiary of the program, it is necessary to present a passport or an ID card.

Delivery period and Procedure

The screening beneficiary is selected by random selection. Their assigned therapist or family doctor invites them for an initial consultation via phone call, informing them of the program details.

After providing consent to participate, the citizen begins the necessary examinations.

If the result of the first examination is negative, the citizen's screening is considered complete. If the result is positive, the physician refers the patient for further examinations and specialist consultation.

The patient is also provided with a "Colorectal Cancer Early Detection Screening" Program Beneficiary Leaflet.

The "Colorectal Cancer Early Detection Screening" program is in effect until 2026 inclusive.

Attention
If a person has received all of their treatments in a medical facility in Yerevan and wishes to continue treatment in a medical facility in another region (marz) or community, this is possible only under two conditions:
  • If the preferred medical facility offers the possibility of treatment for that particular illness through a state order (government funding).

  • If there will be no need for radiation therapy during the treatment, because the latter can only be received in Yerevan.
