Participate in the Program for Making investments in Investment Funds
The program is aimed at increasing investment capacities and creating more attractive conditions for fund managers newly entering the Armenian market.
How to apply?
Within the framework of the program, government participation is envisaged in funds that implement investments in priority sectors. The priority sectors are considered to be the manufacturing industry, energy, and tourism.
Applicants who meet the program's requirements for making investments in investment funds must apply to the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Armenia with the necessary documents.
Requirements
To make investments in investment funds, it is necessary:
- to be a resident of the Republic of Armenia,
- make investments in organizations within the priority sectors,
- have fund managers who manage at least 1 billion US dollars in assets.
Required documents
To apply for the program, the following documents must be submitted to the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Armenia:
- application-form
- document confirming the acquisition of shares/units
- the fund's state registration certificate as a legal entity and its charter (statute)
- the fund's rules
- the qualified (positive) conclusion of the existing external audit regarding the fund (submitted if the fund was not established in the current year)
- the fund manager's charter, state registration certificate, and financial statements in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
- the charters, state registration certificates, and financial statements of all fund participants in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
- the fund's annual financial statements in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) (In the case of a newly established fund, only information on assets signed by the head of the manager's executive body or a person authorized by the latter (in case of a power of attorney) is required).
Delivery period and procedure
- The Ministry of Economy reviews the application within 10 working days.
- If the application is approved, the Ministry of Economy notifies the beneficiary electronically within 5 days, after which a contract regarding the acquisition of shares is concluded with the beneficiary.
