Apply To Become a Volunteer for the "Protected Heart City" Program

The "Protected Heart City" initiative has been launched in Yerevan, under which Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) are being installed in the Small Center (Kentron/downtown area).

Defibrillation is an electric shock delivered to the heart that helps restart it when it stops or begins working erratically. Thanks to this shock, the heart's normal function can be restored.

The initiative involves the active recruitment of volunteers

How to apply?

After pressing the "Continue" button, you need to:

  • Select the "Become a Volunteer, Become a Hero" button in the window that opens.
  • Fill in the required details (Name, Last Name, Email, Phone Number).
  • After pressing the "Become a Hero" button, detailed information about the training courses will be provided.


Requirements

To become a volunteer, you must:

  • be 18 years of age or older.
  • reside in Yerevan.

Payment Amount

The provision of the training course and the issuance of the certificate are free of charge.


Training Duration and Procedure

The duration of the training course is 4 hours, during which participants will learn how to perform CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and how to use a defibrillator. Upon successful completion of the course, the participant will receive a certificate and become part of the volunteer network.

Trained volunteers will receive alerts from the ambulance service staff regarding cases of cardiac arrest via the mobile application, GoodSAM, and will be able to render the necessary assistance.
